Unfortunately, as FS we cannot smite the heathen of the realm (That you have to wait for Pork to make another DPS cardi guide). Instead being FS cardi in a party is like being the heart of the body: pumping life force. Just as a heart is a vital organ you are also the most important person in the party and thus get a first dip on getting res, AP regen and women. If anyone dares to talk back to you on this matter you have a perfect tool to remind them where they belong 2052.png: Beneath your feet.

The side effects of picking this build include: nausea, bad RGN, cardiac arrhythmia, and god complex.

Welcome to A Scrap Guide to [Full Support] Cardinal

==================================================================================================
1. ABOUT
==================================================================================================

Once again as with most jobs FS cardi is by no means a first-character pick. While you can start as Cardi do not expect to be carried as most players will focus on "git good" at what they do first before carrying you. So it is best that you carry yourself with another money-farming character first. That being said, while the entrance is quite high it is still much lower than any dps build in exist: A grade A nebula armor can easily fund every piece of starting equipment for FS cardi with extra money to dress up yourself with costumes because if you going to do God's work might as well look 𝓕𝓐𝓢𝓗𝓘𝓞𝓝𝓐𝓑𝓛𝓔 𝓐𝓢 𝓕𝓒𝓚 when doing it.
And what God's works are? Stat buffing, damage buffing, health buffing, shielding, tanking, healing and dropping "yo mama" burns so potent it shatters the enemy's ego, making them take double damage. Your job is to keep everyone in top shape condition so they can perform MAX DEEPS.

PROS:
- All kinds of necessary buffs.
- Very tanky.
- Sub-dps actually.
- Health dispenser.
- Low gear requirement for end-game content

CONS:
- Need others to actually be useful
- Low gear requirement but still has a high bar to pass
- Clearance cannot clear stupid
- God complex

==================================================================================================
2. REQUIREMENTS
==================================================================================================

- High HP: Mediale Votum (Mediale), your new HP regen skill heals based on your HP, thus the more HP you have the high the heal over time will be. This is your main way of healing now so drop Heal, Highness Heal off your bar, most jobs at this point will have too much HP that those skills cannot keep up. Also, burst healing is not our job anymore, it now belongs to the doram.
- Seven skills cast per sec: You need to keep everyone in top condition at all times: at the beginning and during a run, and especially after a (or all) member(s) go down. In the current fast-paced action state of the game that means you need to dish out all the buff as fast as you can, and boy do you have a lot to buff. Thus you need 100% variable casting time reduction (vct), 1.5 fixed cast time reduction (fct), and 95% after cast delay (acd). While attack speed is also needed usually, our casting animation is actually quite fast so we do not really need 193 apsd.
- Recovery rate: As much as you can. Mediale Votum is still affected by it so stacking both HP and recovery rate will significantly increase our regen capability.

==================================================================================================
3. STATS AND TRAITS
==================================================================================================

A. Stat
- STR: Stay at 1. Due to the change to Gym Pass it is not even worth putting points into this for weight
- AGI: Dump stat. Any point left after can go here
- VIT: Get max 130. Your most important stat now that you regen with mostly HP. Besides that, it increases your tankiness, increases your resistance to a lot of debuffs.
- INT: 120+. Increase your SP and SP recovery rate. We will be in Offertorium all the time so you need to get high Int.
- DEX: Due to Redemptio requiring 100% vct from equipment and stat, which we aim for, DEX is actually no longer required. No defensive boost (flee is useless) nor debuff resistance.
- LUK: 90+. Increases your resistance to a variety of debuff, increases Perfect Dodge and critical hit shield. Get around 90 so that with the bonus it reaches 100.

Priority: VIT > INT > LUK > AGI > DEX > STR.

B. Trait
If you are new here's a quick rundown on what traits do:
- POW and SPL are offensive traits
- STA and WIS are deffensive traits
- POW and STA are physically oriented
- SPL and WIS are magically oriented
- CON increases both physical and magic offensive ability, hit and flee
- CRT increases healing power and critical hit power

Looking at these it seems obvious that we should take max CRT and leftover points for STA and WIS. However, Gravity being Gravity, the sub-trait Heal Plus (H.Plus) is supposed to increase the final healing power, well, does not increase the final healing power but only a small margin.
Another reason, the best armor that gives the most HP, the highest priority for us now, is scaled with the STA traits, which means we should actually max out STA instead, and whatever is left goes to WIS. With the new level expansion, we have enough trait points to max out both STA and WIS, the leftover points will go to CRT because a small boost is still better than no boost
So our trait should be: 100 STA - 100 WIS - 35 CRT and 0 on everything else

Acolyte

Spoiler

Skill Level Opinion
Ruwach 1/1 Still useful for detecting hidden enemies so your team can focus on dps
Teleport 2/2 Obsolete by Infinity Flywing (no acd). Still, we need it for the next skill
Warp Portal 4/4 Entrance to some endgame content cannot @warp to so we also have an Uber drive role with this skill
Pneuma 1/1 It helps... Sometimes. Careful not to hurt your ranged DPS teammates
Heal 3/10 Surprised? Yes we no longer need Heal. As stated burst healing is now cat's job, so this and AB healing skills are now useless as they cannot keep up or are comparable to cat's Kisul's Water Spray. Get 3 points for Inc. Agi's requirement.
Cure 0/1 Useless skill
Aqua Benedicta 1/1 Requirement for Aspersio
Increase Agility 10/10 Requirement and potency for Canto Candidus
Decrease Agility 2/10 or 10/10 You can choose to max this or Angelus. With mvp Inc. Agility ignore cannot be countered this skill does not have much use
Blessing 10/10 Requirement and potency for Clementia
Divine Protection 5/10 Requirement for Blessing
Demon Bane 0/10 Tiny atk when attacking demon. Not our job.
Signum Crucis 0/10 DPS uses Full Penetration Shadow set to completely ignore monster's defense. This skill is useless now
Angelus 2/10 or 10/10 Tiny HP increase. Some might like it (I do not). You can choose to max this or Decrease Agility. Spamming bells is fun

High Priest

Skill Level Opinion
Kyrie Eleison 10/10 Requirement for Praefatio. While the number of hits does not affect Praefatio, the shield by HP% does and Praefatio has a long cooldown, you will find yourself casting this while tanking mobs. Also affects the Blue Moon Loli Ruri's auto-cast ability.
Magnificat 5/5 Improve SP regen, mostly for party members since Cardi has a large SP pool that almost never runs out. In a situation where it does run out, Magnificat cannot help anyway
Gloria 0/5 or 5/5 In crit meta, 30 luk from this skill translate to 10% critical chance which is valuable to those crit abusers. Increasing the level of Gloria only increases duration so you can choose to have it max or not have it if you want to take Safety Wall max
Slow Poison 0/1 This skill is so useless I forgot it exist and put it in the table.
Status Recovery 1/1 Requirement for Resurrection
Resurrection 4/4 We will have 100% acd so having 4/4 does not have a drawback
Increase SP recovery 5/10 or 10/10 Requirement for Meditation. Also boost SP regen. But again, if you are in a situation it can run out, it does not help anyway.
5 if you want to take Safety Wall max
Assumptio 5/5 Increase DEF and incoming heal. Can be used with Kyrie so use both, please.
Lex Divinia 5/10 Requirement for Lex Aeterna. Silence is way too unreliable to be useful
Lex Aeterna 1/1 Double the damage one monster receives. This is what I meant by being a sub-dps: if a WH deals 700 million damage, this turns into 1.4 billion damage, similar to having 2 WH doing 700 million damage. That's why we want high acd to spam lex to match 7 skill spam by dps
Impositio Magnum 5/5 Small offensive bonus (dps love them tho)
Suffragium 0/3 or 3/3 If for some reason somebody still missing vct... you can cast this on them and then proceed to kick them out of the party once the run is done. You can take it maxed or not take it and have points for Safety Wall
Meditation 10/10 Greatly improve our big SP pool and even more SP regen.
Sanctuary 0/10 or 3/10 Sanctuary is outdated now with low regen and has a number of person limit. 3 if you want to take Safety Wall or none.
Asperio 5/5 In case somebody forgot they can buy this scroll from the shop, which they usually do because we are in fire meta now, not holy. Still useful to have.
Safety Wall 0/10 or 10/10 While the number of hits is good, the durability of the wall is not and most mobs can instantly break it. I personally find Kyrie is better for tanking and protecting than Safety Wall. Plus not taking Safety Wall means you do not have to get Sanctuary and can get max Gloria, Increase SP Recovery and Suffragium.
Redemptio 1/1 Party-wipe rewind button. Especially useful in purgatory runs where you cannot re-enter and mechanics that guarantee a wipe if people do not pay attention. This skill is very important with high vct, but only affected by equipment vct!
B.S. Sacramenti 0/5
Dps skills.
We do not need them.
Mace Mastery 0/10
Mana Recharge 0/5
Turn Undead 0/10
Basillica 0/5

Skill Level Opinion
Judex 0/10
Dps skills.
We do not need them
Adoramus 0/10
Coluceo Heal 3/3 Requirement for Renovatio. While we taking it, we will not use it
Renovatio 4/4 It got 3 more levels and become much better now. 8% of mhp per 5s, go well with the upcoming Dilectio
Highness Heal 3/5 Low healing power. Requirement for Offertorium and Dilectio Heal
Offertorium 5/5 Greatly increase healing power and SP cost. But thanks to the level cap increase, our passive and INT, we have a lot of it.
Epiclesis 5/5 The better Sanctuary. MHP increase, HP regen and SP regen. Plus the MHP increase means more damage for our Inquisitor
Vituperatum 4/5 or 5/5 AoE Lex. Increase level enlarge the effect range and reduce fixed cast time. However if you can get 2s fct you can leave it at 4 since the AoE maxed at this level already
Clementia 3/3 AoE Blessing.
Praefatio 10/10 AoE Kyrie. However it has a high cooldown so Kyrie is still useful
Ancilla 1/1 Requirement for Epiclesis. Also you need to craft the item Ancilla with this skill to use Epiclesis
Oratio 5/10 Reduce Holy resistance, but because we're in Fire meta this does not have much use. Requirement for Convenio and Expiatio
Convenio 1/1 There's exactly 1 case we need it, but it is an important case: Forterssa dungeon runs. However due to the lack of skill points we will take this after we get all the skills in the Cardinal tree
Duple Light 5/10 Requirement for Expiatio
Expiatio 0/5 or 5/5 The only reason we taking this skill is due to the Arch Bishop Stone (Lower) gives 0.1s fct for every level in Expiatio
If you do not plan to use it you can skip this skill and its requirements
Lauda Agnus 4/4 Remove a variety of debuff on your party member. Also increase MHP. More HP better healing for everyone and better damage for Inq.
Lauda Ramus 4/4 Remove the other variety of debuffs. Increase critical damages for those crit abusers.
Clearance 5/5 TO REMIND THESE FOOLISH BEINGS THAT YOU ARE ABOVE THEM.
Canto Candidus 3/3 AoE Increase Agility.
Silentium 0/5 AoE Lex Divinia. Just as useful as it is.
Sacrament 0/5 Another surprise. Again, everyone is expected to instant cast their skill. Being a percentage reductions means Sacrament will reduce after equipment fct flat reduction and does not stack with other percentage fct, like Fenrir Card. In other word, it is now useless.

Skill Level Opinion
Dilectio Heal 5/5 Our new AoE skill with a built-in healing bonus. Still very weak. It also regens 1 AP.
Mediale Votum 5/5 Brand new bread and butter. This skill is big 10% of the target HP every 2s. If you just starting as FS and do not have a high MHP, cast on your IG also works. Later on with Offertorium and recovery rate, casting on yourself will be better even if you do not have as much HP as IG.
Reparatio 5/5 Finally we have Yggdrasill Berry as a skill. Cat got a 90% HP version with a shorter cooldown a few patches ago but hey, better late than never. Get max for the lowest cooldown possible.
Benedictum 5/5 Increase the new physical traits. Unfortunately it does not stack with cat's Festival skills so if there's a cat in the party you do not need to cast this.
Religio 5/5 Increase the new magical trait and defensives trait. Same as Benedictum: if there's a cat, you do not need to cast this.
Presens Acies 5/5 Aka Acies. Increase new stat C.rate which is a critical damage modifier. Very good. And cats do not have this.
Argutus Telum 5/5 Aka Telum. Give a buff that allows party members to ignore monster Resistance, which is Hard Def on a new level. Give it to your physical DPS.
Argutus Vita 5/5 Magic Telum.
Competentia 5/5 Greatly increase your team P.Atk and S.Matk, which are new offensive stats.
Fidus Animus 0/10
The usual DPS skills we ignore.
Framen 0/5
Arbitrium 0/10
Pneumaticus Procella 0/10
Mace & Book Mastery 0/10
Petitio 0/10
Effigo 0/10

If you follow this suggestion, you should have 3 skills points left to do whatever you want. You can even drop 2 skills from dilectio for 5 sacrament if you really really need.

==================================================================================================
5. EQUIPMENT
==================================================================================================

While every job in the game has no gear progression, support classes like Cardi are extra special in that most of their requirements remain unchanged over time: VCT and FCT to instant cast, high enough ACD and ASPD to spam skills. As long as they meet these requirements, they can choose not to change gears because they already performing at 95% efficiency, and such requirements can be easily achieved with low gears.

Spoiler

Headgear

Spoiler

UPPER
Drooping Thanatos's Dolor [1] A very cheap headgear from instance coin shop, it gives MHP, MSP, VCT and ACD, everything we need.
Old Mitra [1] This can be your late/end-game helm. Diamond (aka Adamantium) enchant gives the most amount of HP which again, boosts our defensive and healing capability.
Temporal Circlet(Arch Bishop) [1] A way more expensive, version of Old Mitra for a slightly few more HP. Personally I do not recommend this but if you're a maniac in min-maxing..
MIDDLE
New Wave Sunglasses Good and cheap ACD. This is the unslotted version
Deep Blue Sunglasses/
Deep Blue Sunglasses [1]
The unslotted version gives 10% vct and the slotted one can be enchanted for a total of 15% VCT. Worth noting here for mixing gear to get your desired requirements.
Victorious Wing Ears [1] Can be enchanted for a total of 10% acd or recovery rate
LOWER
Young Leaf of the World Tree (Any) Can be enchanted for 10% vct.
Rosary Necklace 5% recovery rate, but the most important part is 3% acd per 2 refine of the Light of Recovery (36% at +12!)
Vicious Mind Aura Give up to 16% acd at 120 or higher VIT and 32% vct at 120 or higher INT when combo with Manteau of the Fallen [1].
Blue Moon Loli Ruri Card Some vct and recovery rate
Katheryne Keyron Card For when you are missing vct
Sealed/Kiel-D01 Card Best ACD card in the game
Sealed/Bacsojin Card Best recovery rate card

Armor

Spoiler

ARMOR
Gold Dragon Plate [1] Cheap armor that gives a lot of HP and some vct when refine. Can be enchanted for more vct and recovery rate.
Vit Soutane [1] Greater HP boost compares to Gold Dragon Plate, but less vct. However when enchanted with VIT blessing the trade-off is more than worth it. The only problem is getting the enchant is very tedious
Plain Rune Armor [1] Even more HP than vit soutane with blessing, thanks to the Stamina of Varmundt lv3, plus 15% acd. This armor is just "plain" good!
Nebula Armor of Stamina [1] The best armor in the game for HP, even more than Plain Rune Armor with its set bonus. It also increases incoming healing which Mediale is, so that's another boost to healing. However it is missing the acd the Plain Rune has, which may be crucial for you. It is also a lot more expensive to get the correct enchantments compare to Plain Rune Armor
Amitera Card 10% MHP and 10% more when you are above lv200
Omnious Solider Card 10% MHP and 1% per 3 refine.
Tao Gunka Card 100% MHP. Best in slot (BiS)

Weapon

Spoiler

WEAPON
Rubber Hammer [2] 10% vct and 20% acd at +12. Cheap and useful.
Light of Recovery [2] Give tons of recovery rate, and when combo with Rosary Necklace, you also gain a lot of acd. It still very good weapon as it gets recovery rate from simply refining.
Heart Hunter Sanare 10% recovery rate. BiS

Shield

Spoiler
SHIELD
Any slotted shield So you can use cards
Cursed/Bloody/Purified Knight Shield [1] Strongest defensive shield at the moment. Give some acd at +12 also and can be further enchanted for more vct and recovery rate. The Purified version has better enchantment than the other two
Magic Absorber [1] This shield gives some HP and can be further enchanted for vct, acd and recovery rate. Combo with the Mental Condenser for even more HP. The downside is this is lv2 armor with no bonus for grading. Or is it an upside...?
Mushy Ant Egg Card 10% SP and 1% MHP per refine.
Silva Papila Card Reduce damage taken from normal mob by 15% and increase incoming healing by 15%
Gran Papila Card Reduce damage taken from boss by 20% and increase incoming healing by 30%. BiS

Manteau

Spoiler

MANTEAU
Temporal VIT Manteau [1] Simply good manteau for HP and can be enchanted up to 15% acd.
Manteau of the Fallen [1] By itself this manteau is so bad, but the combo with Vicious Mind Aura is worth using it. Some resistances and HP when refined
Plain Rune Manteau [1] Best manteau for HP at the moment with 15% acd. Easy to enchant is also a plus and, you just need to +7 it
Ancient Stalactic Golem Card Some flat HP and a small 3% acd when the manteau is at +12
Infinite Chimera Card 8% MHP
Any Bio5 card +20 to all stat, is useful by itself. More vit more HP
Arch Bishop Margaretha Card +20 to all stats, +10% MHP, +15% recovery rate. End game goal for all Cardi main. BiS

Boots

Spoiler

BOOTS
Illusion Leg B-Type [1] 0.7 fct and 30% recovery rate.
Great Hero's Boots [1] Also 0.7 fct, gives a bit of MHP and a bit harder to get than Illusion Leg.
Hero's Boots-LT [1] Give 0.8-1s fct. A lot more HP, and some vct and acd. Can be enchanted with Spell4 for more vct, General's Spirit for more HP and combo with Vitality enchant on Hero's Badge. The problem is this boots need grading and refining to be worth using
*As early on you want simple-to-get Glacier Boots or Great Hero's Boots and late game you want high HP Plain Rune Boots, it is strongly discourage to obtain Hero's Boots-LT
Glacier Boots [1] This boots is simply cheaper and easier than getting Hero's Boots-LT for the 1s fct, as well as provide a healthy 550 def & 50 res with Ice Flower Magic Stone (Physical Defense) or 20% MHP & 2500 flat HP with Ice Flower Magic Stone (Vital).
Plain Rune Boots [1] Best HP boots, with 1s fct and 15% acd. Simple to get and enchant.
Ominous Freezer Card 10% MHP
Holy Skogul Card 10% recovery rate
Arena Licheniyes Card     10% holy property magic damage and 20% recovery rate. BiS

Accessories

Spoiler
ACCESSORIES
Blue Mental Necklace [1]/
Red Force Necklace [1]
Combo with the Drooping Thanatos's Dolor helm for 0.5 fct and 2% acd per 4 refine level of the helm.
Hero Badge [1] Can be enchanted with Spell4 and Vitality for 10% vct and combo with Hero's Boots-LT's General Spirit for great amount of HP
Automatic Booster R/L [1] or
Automatic Battle Chip R/L [1]
The type does not matter. Can be enchant with Automatic Module (Spell) for vct, Automatic Module(Attack Speed) and Automatic Module (Agi) for aspd, Automatic Module (Vit) for more HP. Choose what you need
Mental Condenser [1] Combo with Magic Absorber for good amount of MHP, can be enchant with vct and/or MHP
Broken Guard Beta Card Give the most MHP among accessory card
Sealed/Berzebub Card Aka Beelzebub Card because the localization team is dumb. 15%/30% VCT
Chaotic Acolyte Card 4% acd
Dark Faceworm Card 3% acd

SHADOW EQUIPMENT
Reload set (Armor, Shoe & Shield) Use Reload Shadow Armor II for extra VIT and HP recovery. Total 15% acd when all 3 pieces are at +9
Almighty accessories set Each refine gives +1 to all stat. +10 two pieces, that is +20 to all stat. BiS IMO
Lord Bearer set (Armor & Shoes/ Earring & Pendant) Most notable is the MHP and permanent Endure buff. Endure prevent flinching when hit by mob, allowing you to gather mob and tank better
Spell Caster set (Armor & Shoes/ Earring & Pendant) Total 20% vct, 10% SP consumption and 0.3s fct (does not stack with other Spell Caster set)

==================================================================================================
6. PET
==================================================================================================

  • Angeling: MHP +2% and 8% recovery rate. Simple basic healing pet
  • Blue Moon Loli Ruri: Vit +2, MHP +5%, auto-cast Kyrie Eleison when being attacked. Tank-oriented pet. (I like this one)

==================================================================================================
7. TIPS
==================================================================================================

a. Buff order and skill bar organize
I usually use different tags to add priority to my skills and organize my skill bar from there: higher priority skills are closer to my index finger and are cast before other skills
- Critical Situation, Pre-battle and In-battle: In order of priority of course. Examples for each tag are Ressurection, Clementia, and Lex Aeterna.
- Self, AoE and Individual: Your survival is your party's survival, so skills that help you have the highest priority, then skill that improves the entire party's efficiency, and finally skill that only help one player. Of course, skills that target you and your party is on top. Example: Mediale, Assumptio, Clementia and Acies
- Defensive and Offensive: Pretty simple defensive means you and your team can survive better, so you can actually continue with the buffing and then come the offensive buff to actually clear the content.
- Long duration and short duration: Pretty self-explanatory, examples are Clementia and Lauda
There are exceptions like Epiclesis is a ground-targeted skill that you cannot cast most of the time because of Land Protector's uptime, or Competentia which is an AP skill and if your party's cat or EM do not quite well at their job you will not have AP to keep 100% uptime.

So in a party, you will first cast pre-battle, AoE with long-duration skills such as Clementia, Canto, Praefatio, etc., and after that are skills that buff you, like Offertorium and Assumptio, before buffing your team with defensive buff like Assumptio, then individual offensive buffs Acies, Telum, Vita, then short duration buff, and finally in-battle buff. At any time the "Critical situation" happens you cast those Ressurection, Redemtio or Reparatio.
This is of course a very generic, catch-almost-all-situation explanation, but it should be a base for you to build your way to buff comfortably

b. Party window (Alt+Z)
- Always have it opened so you know if someone died and rebuff them
- Right-click on the name and choose "Open Mini-party window" create a status bar of that character that you can organize for convenience. Example: group all crit abusers together so you can cast Acies and Telum w/o taking too much time finding them. Put Physical damage characters below those guys so you can continue with just casting Telum.
- Click the lock icon at the bottom of the window to prevent accidental "double-clicking to open 1:1 chat" and reorder the mini party windows.

c. Visual clarity
RO has a lot of visual effects, but too much skill spamming, damage numbers popping, it creates a lot of noise on your screen
- Use @dd 4 to disable all damage numbers. Since you're not doing damage, those numbers are meaningless to you and can hide your melee party member
- Use /mineffect or /effects to reduce or remove visual skill effects entirely. Skill spamming creates so many visual effects it is like watching 20 fireworks explode at your eyes
- When using /effects turn on @lgp to be able to see where the AoEs (like Land Protector) are.

==============================================================================================================

And that is it for this guide. While it is a scrap guide I do have the honor of a Cardi main to uphold so I gave many details more than "that" guide.
The spirit of scrap guide instead lies in the unfunny and extreme bias opinions, but I do take advice, corrections and criticism for this one because like that one wise saint said: "Life is a never-ending study." and the first condition to change to 5th job Saint is to follow the teaching. Disclaimer there is no 5th job at the time of this guide written
Big thanks to Pork for guiding me when I started playing here as a Cardi and continuing to advise me at all times.
