Adeptus Solaris, a codex to Solar Burst.

The objective of this guide  is to clear some confusion regarding some star gladiator skills and to provide a base for those who wish to thread the path of  the solar burst emperor, so let's get to it:

 

Pros:

- Natural High damage

- Easy acess to all elements with Mild_Wind.png.28e2ed2e11ad06f584b23e0d4259d493.png  Mild Wind

- Fairly  easy to gear and do instances with

- Gets stronger in a party thanks to Kihop.png.e9126d6b77d545ed04018a1eb25ee55c.png  Kihop, the more people in a party the better.

- Great mobility (in a straight line) with Sprint.png.0c7446c20c274b5c9837d3a90886bb01.png Sprint   

- Can jump over walls and get to lower/higher grounds with  Leap.png.a6cc342a2bd53fe76354449078529760.png Leap

-Miracle: a buff that allows usage of all solar/lunar/stellar skills in any map and day while it's active (looks like a soul link buff and lasts 60 minutes,keep attacking something until it appears.)

 

Cons:

- Reflect

- Dispell

- Carpal Tunnel

 

 

Stats Distribution:

STR: 120 - we are a melee class and will be using  Temporal str boots so 120 is mandatory.

AGI: if you cannot reach 193 ASPD  with gear and foods alone,  put as many points as needed to reach it, otherwise, leave it at 1.

VIT:  100 in total, 50 base and more 50 from gear/foods/universe stance - as stated, we are a melee class and we can't kill enemies if we die first, so get a 100 vit  in total for a decent amount of HP and some stats resistances such as stun,

INT: same as vit (you don't want to get silenced in the  middle of a fight with a mvp.)

Dex: 110  -  you can't hit enemies without a good amount of dex, secondly, this is one of the main stats that makes solar burst hit absurd numbers with the star gladiator  wrath  skills.

LUK110 -  more ATK and the second stat that goes into the wrath skills.

 leftover points can be spent on str/luk/vit, up to the user's preference.

  Flying_Kick.png.6d377d90c22b54307182d0c10e44e67d.png  Flying Kick: our  gap closer towards enemies, also the only kick you should worry about while leveling as a taekwon kid as it has no need for a stance  and waiting for it to proc to be used.

  Peaceful_Break.png.47d6b1ac0fbdcb3398c1a8c124aaf788.png  Peaceful break: pre-req for mild wind, however, you want to get this to lvl 9 so you can get free 18 atk from the  top stone of SG's stone set.

  Kihop.png.4719b975ac36d826e2667e9c4ea79c22.png  Kihop:  a buff to the  character that  boosts atk by 10% for each member in the party (yourself not included.)   

  Mild_Wind.png.91b85fd4415ff7f0631280936a316c82.png  Mild/Warm wind:   Temporarely endows your attacks with an elemental property, each level is a different element so you should keep a skill tab with each  level for easy element swapping.

  5d92714015eef_Solar_Lunar_and_Stellar_Perception.png.80277ef69485f99994100c032ac710e0.png  SLS Perception: Designates a map with the solar/lunar/stellar alignment, becomes useless once miracle is activated, you still want to max this as it is a pre-req for  Document of Sun/moon/stars on the star emperor tree.

  5d927292da948_Solar_Lunar_and_Stellar_Opposition.png.9169a6cbb2e889c5e316cc1b5f2acfcd.png  SLS Opposition:  Marks an enemy with one of the three cosmic alignments, Solar for small enemies, lunar for medium and stellar for large, you can only have one target per alignment, you  also need to be on the map with the correct alignment but once again this part gets throw out of the window with miracle activated, max it.

  Solar_Heat.png.a2d356d000cec30d184670584b2cba6a.png Solar/Lunar/Stellar Heat:  a 3x3 effect around your character that damages and  knockbacks enemies who get close to you for 2 cells, Boss monsters don't get knocked back but still get damaged. your level, dex and luk dictates how much damage these skills will do, yet again you need to be in the map with the correct alignment but of course, miracle throws this outta the window.

  Solar_Protection.png.23b480ad65361b4b6448eed2556ea28c.png Solar/Lunar/Stellar Protections: let me start this one by saying this is NOT A PASSIVE, i have seen quite a few star emperors getting these and wondering why they din't get buffed, you must activate those if you wish to get their bonuses, solar will  increase your  DEF and vit, lunar will increase flee rate and stellar will increase your ASPD, their bonuses gets stronger proportionally to your base level, dex and luk, again, map allignment is irrelevant with miracle.  

  5d9277c88e792_Solar_Lunar_and_Stellar_Shadow.png.374989cc95dc087165c8f8d665f49639.png  SLS Shadow: at job lvl 50, increases our apsd by 30% with the drawback of completely butchering our sight, this however gets solved with  Purification of the  Sun, moon and start on the star emperor tree.

  5d927e445fa27_Solar_Lunar_and_Stellar_Union.png.65a1ed659b9e5210c52e031cf757280c.png  SLS Union: the famous skill that makes star emperors be able to fly around,  it increases your move speed and any enemies you hit cannot be missed and will completely ignore their defense, the drawback is that with every attack you use 2% of your hp and it will KILL you if you reach below 20% of your max HP, so better bring some potions or have a priest ready to heal you constantly if you wish to use this, you also need the taekwon master link from a soul linker to activate this.

Extra note: to put points on this skill you have to  minimize the skill tree (press the - buttom near the X on the screen of the skill tree), why is it like this, no idea.

Star Emperor

 RO_PurificationOfTheSunMoonAndStars.png.d6d4a76309cf35ee50626679ce8d066e.png Purification of the Sun,Moon and Stars : a mandatory passive that will remove the sight penalty from SLS shadow. (Extra note: this skill is a bit wonky and sometimes won't  remove the sight penalty for some reason, try relogging if that doesn't happen, if it still persists, reset your skills and  do it until it removes the sight penalty.)  

 RO_SunStance.png.973f56b455496962c75445b2f8c5d616.png Sun Stance :  allows the use  of sun skills, gives  5%atk  and will be the first stance you will use while leveling, later we will switch to universe.

 RO_MoonStance.png.00d6b69ce048635ac98647031177b4b5.png Moon Stance : allows the use of moon skills and gives 5% max HP, you only want this since it's a pre-req for universe stance.

 RO_UniverseStance.png.993af49233f330ed29aefeef1e7d250d.png Universe Stance : Allows the use of sun/moon/star skills  and  universe skills, this is will be our main stance since it gives 5 All stats, which is 5 free dex and luk going into the wrath skills which will increase our damage more than the 5%atk from the sun stance will ever do.

 RO_BlazingKick.png.15f004294db4d31fc8ab76ab4ff32f46.png Prominence Kick :  a 500% dmg kick that enables the use of solar burst, does damage in 3x3 around you, with  the SE racing cap at +11 , prominence kick will increase solar burst damage by 30% for 10 seconds after using this kick.

 RO_ExplodingSun.png.be5be31d7c79d9347207c777afae9827.png Solar Burst :  Our main skill with a whooping 3200% dmg  and 7x7  area of effect, this skill will be our main tool for almost everything.

 RO_LightOfTheSun.png.841c528950de8cb641e386f3832e0258.png Light of the Sun :  a buff which increases solar burst damage by another 25% and lasts 50 seconds, make sure you always have this on.

 Extra note: i won't cover the  Star tree for now as we currently do not have temporal circlets yet, once it arrives i will add it.

 Top =SEcap.png.ef59495ed671e4fcfd8bfa4f3c3da756.png  Star Gladiator Racing cap [1]:  +10 atk per 2 refine, increased attack speed per 3 refines, at +8 gives 5 atk per level of peaceful break learned, at +11 using prominence kick increases solar burst damage by  30% for 10 seconds., class enchant increases Solar burst, Fallen Star and  Full Moon Kick for 40% and reduces cooldown of  document of SLS for 30 seconds.

Card:  Purple Ferus for the extra 6%atk.

 how to obtain: Hugel  Monster Race or other players.

 

 Mid = vwe.png.c5479e68e3167e204617e9b087268448.png Victorious Wing Ears [1]:  +5atk and 4% after cast delay, enchant this with double 3% ACD for a total 10% ACD from this gear.

Card: Jitterbug:  +500 max HP, -10% dmg taken from neutral enemies, combo with  pere  cards on acessories that allows us to transform into a jitterbug when attacking, giving us an impressive 200% dmg towards neutral enemies and life regeneration while it's active.

how to obtain:  Fortessa pit box 2 or other players.

 

Lower: we have two choices here.

  Armor

  gracesun.png.34e2f9edfa6f769b3f07bc002c9ade28.png +9 Grace Sun  Suit[1]: part of the  grace set for solar burst avaiable to star emperors, a budget yet fairly strong option for starters, needs to be  used with the  grace attack boots/ring/manteau for full bonuses, you can use a special certificate for this set in specific which will instantly +9 it and can be bought on the same npc you find the set.

  OSarm.png.b420e6a100c543bfc6d70e12eedbcaa1.png  Illusion Armor A-Type[1]: +100 atk,  +10atk per 2 refine, at +7 increases attack speed, can be enchanted with OS modules, you want 2x power modules for yet more atk(flat and %) and 1x ACD module for that 15% acd reduction.

Cards: we have quite a few choices here:

Ghostring : gives you ghost property, however the main reason you want this card is for the combo with one of the cards you'll use in the weapons.

Elemental property cards like angeling, bathory are also good options if you need to reduce damage from a certain element.

Porcellio: 25atk, -5 def, budget option.

 

Weapons

 screenHelheim1118.jpg.157ad61085aec6bc79f0375662436aa4.jpg  Thousand Sun[2]:  the default book for neutral element enemies,  +10atk per 2 refines and %max SP per 3, at +7 increases the damage of prominence kick by 15%, at +11 or higher, increases solar burst dmg by 20%, can get a variety of   increased %dmg enchants towards elements and races, for this book you'll want a normal/neutral enchant combo to deal with the common enemies, for bosses and pit (souls are formless and considered boss protocol as everything else on pit), you want formless/boss combo, try getting two of this book  if possible if you do not wish to keep uncarding your sun book all the time.

How to obtain: fortessa dungeon lvl 3 (the mechanic mob) or fortessa dungeon boxes.

 iluapo.png.b83f2f2b95294b1e2e1dea2af02d4c72.png Illusion Book of Apocalypse[2] :10% damage towards water,earth, fire,wind and holy enemies, with each 3 refine up to +10 adding another 10% to those elements with the exception of holy, giving us  a total 40%dmg towards those elements, the only drawback this book has is  that you take 30% more damage from holy enemies if you are wearing this book, has a combo with the illusion skull ring which depending on the refine level of the book it will increase you attack speed and crit dmg, gives immunity to the curse status from the ring and a flat 100atk.

How to obtain: you need to bring the illusion npc on the office a +9 book of apocalypse(has to specifically be +9), 50 illusion stones and 10 well dried clovers which drop from the illusion dracula from the illusion of vampire dungeon.

 ilutab.png.a1f282827546f86f10e9590dafeb77c8.png Illusion Tablet[2] : same deal as the book of apocalypse but towards ghost,poison,shadow and undead, you take  30% more damage from shadow monsters,  combo with illusion ring  for the same stats from the skull one except the curse part.

How to obtain: +9 tablet, 80 illusion stones and  100 fragile worms dropped by mobs on the illusion of luanda dungeon.

 

Cards:

White Knight Card : 15atk,  damage towards medium and  large enemies increases by 20%, mandatory

second card can be swapped between these two as the situation demands:

Chaotic Ghostring : 20 atk, 25% increased dmg towards small and large enemies by 25%, combo with ghostring card for  an additional 10% dmg to  all enemies.

Contaminated Wanderer:  30% dmg  increase to mediun and large enemies.

 

 Shield

pks.png.b111b14f4b2bac17ebe23a0982b1be09.png Purified Knight Shield[1]:  +5% dmg to all enemies, increases attack speed, reduces dmg from all enemies by 10%, 5% chance of gaining 50sp per second for 7 seconds when receiving physical/magic damge, 2% chance of gaining 300hp per second for 7 seconds when  doing physical/magic attacks, at +7 gives +20atk, at +9 gives  flat aspd increase (2) and at +12,  gives  5% ACD,  it can also receive 3 enchants which includes  nulifying weapon sizes penalty or  up to 60% def ignore on bosses.

Card: Khalitzburg Knightage: 20 def and reduces damage taken from large and medium monsters by 25% , mandatory.

Budget  options : cursed/bloody versions of this shield.

 how to obtain: cursed knight shield from the  skeleton key npc in @go exchanger or from fortessa pit boxes, then use  silver angel idols from the tool dealer for a chance  of upgrading the shield into one of the two versions, 3% of turning into a bloody shield and 1% for the purified version, or from other players, very expensive.

 

Garment:

tempmantstr.png.4ed7d6ace19bfc54fb701742e5e6b251.png Temporal STR Manteau[1]:  +10atk and increased dmg to all enemies by 1% per 2 refine and 5% increased dmg to all sizes per 4 refines, at +7  gives anoter 7% dmg to all enemies, at +9 and 11, ignores def of brute and demon enemies by  30% in total, if wearing temporal str boots, you gain 50 atk and if boot's refine lvl is 10 or more, gives yet another 30% def ignore to demon  and brute enemies, it can also be enchanted with unsealed time keys, the enchant you are after is 15%acd.

Card: Brown Rat: +3atk and  increased attack speed per 10 base  str, if str is 120 or higher, you gain  another 40atk.

How to obtain:  bought with instance points in the second floor of office, you  will also buy the keys for enchanting this gear on the same npc.

Boots

strboots.png.d21cd2ffaef3bc4252407a1753e94402.png Temporal STR boots[1]: max HP +300/ sp +30, for every 3 refines,  max hp +100/sp+10, atk+7, if base str is 120, gains 50atk, has acess to 2 enchants with the last one having the chance of being a special one, for the first one you can either go with delay after attack for more attack speed or fighting spirit for a small atk boost, and the special enchant you want is Lucky Day, this will give you a proc that will increase your luk by 200 for 5 seconds when attacking or receiving damage, a MASSIVE damage boost to our wrath skills and heat skills will ensure you'll have this on always.

Card: Enraged Cookie: 1% increased dmg to all enemies,  +1% dmg to all enemies per 2 refines

How to obtain: old glast heim instance materials,  go to the  OGH npc on exchanger, buy a temporal boot for 1 temporal crystal ->upgrade boot to temporal  STR boots for 5 crystals,-> enchant boots with aspd or fighting spirit(up to the player.) to lvl 4, this will require 200 coagulated spells in total and 100  for the final enchant which is RANDOM, so keep trying until you get the right enchant -> slot boot  for 5 temporal crystals.

How to obtain: geffen magic coins on the geffen tournament npc in exchanger, you will also be able to buy the acessory enchant scroll for it there.

Budget option : Illusion boosters L/R , 5%atk each and can be enchanted with  luk modules.

How to obtain: Illusion OS npc in exchanger  with  cor cores dropped by enemies  in @warp sp_rudus2.

 budget option:Infinity earring/necklace: %dmg done and taken to all enemies, if total upgrade of both gears are 15 or higher, nulifies weapon size penalty, how to obtain: Trance spore and Kobold.

 

you want to upgrade the shield/weapon and almighty acessories to +10 ASAP as they give us more damage/aspd/def ignore.

 

 

Class Stones

How to obtain: Nightmare biolab mobs drops boxes which gives a random stone.

 

 

Final Note: all of the information presented here were gathered in my journey in the path of the star emperor, this is meant to be a guideline, a groundbase to which all emperors may start and return to, but never be afraid  to experiment and think by yourself.
