Has elemental advantage due to elemental arrows. Note: It is a curious curious phenomenon that Rangers currently rule Helheim. Maestro/Wanderer: Like music? Cast music for screenwide for buff/debuff with this class. However, a recent patch limited its support skill. Has excellent AoE damage. THIEF: Spoiler Shadow Chaser: RO’s blue mage. It has a skill that can copy other class skills making this class extremely versatile. Note: You can cast bowling bash while using a bow with this class. Guillotine Cross: Arguably the best melee DPS class at the moment. Very expensive and can play with poison. SWORDSMAN: Spoiler Royal Guard: Tankiest tank with big tanky shield that do big damage while riding a oversized bird. Rune Knight: Remember when I say Guillotine Cross is arguably the best melee dps? This is its competitor. Also rides a dragon. MERCHANT: Spoiler Mechanic: Gundam Has power suit. Can craft weapons. Very strong dps and tank. Geneticist: Make very good life partners, can cook, can garden and take care of children. Very strong but resource intensive. Can also craft potions. MAGE: Spoiler Warlock: Have a lot of AoE spells but no friends. Sorcerer: More gimmicks than Warlock. Have skills to support other players. Anonymous: If you have to choose between the two, remember that players love the warlock but marries the sorcerer. ACOLYTE: Spoiler Archbishop: “Heal me!” “Buff me!!” “WTF?!” Archbishop proceeds to dish out highest magic dps ingame. Sura: Best tank award. Capable of RO’s highest burst damage. Also rumored to be Jacky Chan enthuists. EXTENDED CLASSES: TAEKWON KID: Spoiler Soul Reaper: Best magic DPS now. Use Warm Wind to have an elemental advantage over almost everything. Star Emperor: Super flying melee dps god. Note: Can wear this costume to be super flying melee dps saiyan god instead. NINJA: Spoiler Kagerou : PvP oriented ninja. Oboro : PvM oriented ninja. Anonymous: We have real ninja classes? We have naruto costumes? YOLO I'm in! GUNSLINGER: Spoiler Rebel : GUNS! GUNS! GUNS! Very high dps. Arguably better than ranger. SUPER NOVICE: Spoiler Super Novice: Meme class, jack of all trade. Do not get killed by the Super Novice, the shame will haunt you forever. Rumours have it that there was a super Super Novice guild. DORAM (SUMMONER): Spoiler Doram: EXTREMELY KAWAII class that appeals to your inner furry. Armor: Armor’s elemental attribute Priest’s B.S Sacramenti skill Royal Guard’s Piety skill Paladin’s Battle Chant Various Cards Costume Garments __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Things to take into consideration: SIZE MODIFIER Spoiler https://irowiki.org/wiki/Size Different weapons have different damage modifier against monsters of different sizes. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ CAST TIME & DELAY https://www.shining-moon.com/w/index.php/Variable_cast_time Summary: There’s two types of cast time in RO: Variable cast time (VCT) Fixed cast time (FCT) After Cast Delay (ACD) These VCT and FCT along with after cast delay (ACD) affects how fast you can cast your spells and your damage per second (DPS). VARIABLE CAST TIME (VCT ) is reduced by int and dex. To reduce all VCT with stats, a character need a combination of DEX and INT so DEX ×2 and INT equal at least 530 (DEX × 2 + INT) = 530. NOTE: VCT % reductions stacks. FIXED CAST TIME (FCT) is reduced by skills, equips, cards. NOTE: FCT % reductions do not stack! ============================================================================================================== Once you finished patching client and planned your character 000004 SERVER FEATURES ============================================================================================================== After you have finished patching your client and planned your first character, You will need to make three two big choices. Choose a server Choose a gender Choose your baserates <--Check out Advanced Looting System below As you will notice by now, SMRO has two different servers, each with their own set of customization. You can either join the cool server Nifflheim OR You can join the maso server Helheim Personally, I would advice new players to play in Nifflheim because Refining equips is much easier in Nifflheim. We have costume enchants. Some of the custom features in Nifflheim such as spiritual energy really takes off all the mundane grindy feeling of RO. Custom costumes for your endgame fashion. However, Helheim has the authentic kRO experience and more players. It does not require a certain monster, race or anything. Increases all stats by +1. Type @rank to make sure you have damage it! ============================================================================================================== Setting Up the Game UI 000006 Setting up Chatbox ============================================================================================================== I suggest setting up the following tabs to keep yourself organized. party/guild -log your party and guild chat party loot -check out who got what drops, useful during MVP-ing loot -check out what you get, useful when spamming treasure boxes etc exp -check your exp gained. battle message -Used for calculating your dps or damage taken All chat -for everything else REMEMBER: You can set for whispers to pop up as tabs or to show in one of your tab using the options above. ============================================================================================================== 000007 Setting up Battlemode ============================================================================================================== Battlemode is an important feature that allows you to hotkey all your skills to your keyboard. You can drag skills or items into the slots and configure the hotkeys for easy access.
