[NIF] Igntion Break guide (01/06/2022)

                        Ignition Break Dragon Knight

Hello Archimedia here ! Back when Ignition Break was meta, it was one of my favorite skill to do instance and Worldboss. After the nerf on custom content, it was fell of to the other build.

However, since 01 June 2022 Patch, Lunar add Asmodeus Wing. This middle headgear is a key component to reduce Ignition Break cooldown to 0 without using Jasper Circlet or Auto Armor (with 2 Wave Break Enchant) which result on more damage output coming from Old Rune Circlet.

I am going to show you the current showcase of Ignition Break after the current patch (After Asmodeus Wing).

Fair warning you are going to need luck on enchanting Old Rune Circlet using Cursed Fragment to get a fair amount of damage output.

The sweet thing is that this build does not need any MVP card!

This Build revolve around getting 100% variable cast reduction from gear, so we are going to work on that.

 

Here is what you need :

Ignition Break has 2 second cooldown and a variable cast to reduce ! Luckily Niflheim has Costume Enchants which help us a lot on reducing Variable Cast%.

General Equipment :

Headgear - Old Rune Circlet [1]

1. Expectation was chosen because Ignition Break is officially crit. This mean you need to reach at least 100 Crit Rate and stack as much Critical Damage % to maximise your damage output.
2. Refine it to +20 is recommended because the hat gives 20% Ignition Break Skill mod per 2 refine.
3. Kathryn Keyron Card is a choice here to reach 100% Variable Cast Reduction (the card gives 20% VCT Reduction at +20)
4. Obtainable by crafting the hat at @lhz_dun_n. Warning leveling up the enchant will make you crazy.

Headgear - Asmodeus Wing

1. Your main source of Ignition Break cool down reduction. It also gives 10% Physical Damage to monsters all size which is a nice addition to damage.
2. Obtainable from Otherworld Exchange at @go 46 -  June 2022

Headgear - Young Leaf of World Tree (Any)

1. You want this for the enchants. Aim for atk% on 3rd slot and p.atk, pow, or c.rate on the 2nd slot
2. Drop from OGH (H) and (N) MVP
3. Enchantable at @go 46 using Enchant Ticket (buy using instance coin)

Armor - Nebula Armor of Power [1]

1. The current BiS armor for any melee class right now. 
2. Aim for at least Star Cluster of Power to gain maximize melee damage output
3. Mistress of Shelter Card is use to combo with Happiness Giver Card
4. Obtainable and enchantable from Constellation Tower Instance

Weapon - Poenitentia Ensis [2]

1. Currently the best level 5 weapon that boost Ignition Break (might wait for Glacier Weapons later on).
2. +7 Refine gives 10% VCT Reduction which is what we need to reduce VCT to 100%
3. 1 True Seyren for IB% and 1 Rekenber Guard for Melee%
4. You can option out Rekenber with Drake Card and switch Infinity Shadow Shield to Physical Power Shadow Shield (but that would make it an MVP card build)
5. Obtainable from exchanging mineas (obtainable from Tomb Of Remorse Instance) at @go 46.

 

Garment - Pirate Captain's Coat [1]

1. Best in slot garment for all physical class right now.
2. Put in Happiness Giver to combo with Mistress of Shelter Card
3. Obtainable from Water Garden (N) and (H) MVP Nightmare mode or above.

 

Boot - Hero Boots-LT [1]

1. At refine +9 gives 5% VCT Reduction
2. Aim for Warrior''s valor enchant on the 2nd to combo with Hero Insignia's Enchant
3. Obtainable by turning Great hero Boot using Armor modificaton box (obtainable from Fortessa Dungeon Boss Reward)

Accessories  - Hero Insiginia [1] and Stellar Power Seal [1]

1. Enchant 2nd slot with Strength to combo with Warrior's Valor Hero Boot-LT
2. [UPDATE] There is a bug that gives Hero Insignia 10% VCT which will be fixed next patch (maybe). So in order to compensate this lost, we need to enchant the 3rd slot to Spell. Spell is upgradeable to Spell 4 which gives 10% Variable Cast Reduction.
3. Obtainable from Morse Cave instance MVP (Nightmare difficulties or above)

1. Combo with Nebula Armor of Power
2. Enchant with Metel or Sharp to maximize damage.
3. Obtainable from Constellation Tower instance exchange at @go 46 

 

Shadow gear and Costumes :

 

For Additional damage you can also add Onimaru as a swappable weapon. Onimaru enabled you to use maximum power thrust when you went on berserk. After that you clear the effect of enabled to regen by using Soul Escape , then switch back to your original weapon.
