Hi, Hi

We noticed some DPS classes struggle a lot when it comes to achieve certain buffs to increase their damage, we want to know what you guys think.

If the poll passes, the following skills will no longer be dispelled when you die in fortessa and purgatory:

5210.png Draconic Aura (DK)

5212.png Vigor (DK)

5232.png Climax (AM)

5328.png Calamity Gale (Wind Hawk)

5246.png First Faith Power (Inquisitor)

5247.png Judge (Inquisitor)

5254.png Third Exorcism Flame (Inquisitor)

5243.png Massive Flame Buster (Inquisitor)

5285.png Shadow Exceed (Shadow Cross)

5318.png Abyss Slayer (Abyss Chaser)

5347.png Research Report (Biolo)

5296.png Rush Quake (Meister) *Self buff only

5263.png Grand Judgement (Imperial Guard)

5475.png Heaven's Spirit (Sky Emperor)

5431.png Circle of Directions and Elementals (Soul Ascetic)

If you think another skill should be added to the list please suggest it below:

  • The skill needs to be a Self Buff and not a buff you can apply on other players
  • The skill needs to have long CD or/and cost over 150 AP

Soul Ascetic's Circle of Directions and Elementals leaves a buff on the user upon use called 'Blessing of the Four Directions and the Five Elementals'. This ability also uses 150 AP.

Imperial Guard's Grand Judgement also applies a self buff that increase certain skills damage, it also uses 150 AP.

 

Incoming...
Spirit Handler's Temporary Communion also uses 150 AP and a self buff.
Night Watch's Hidden Card.
Hyper Novice's Breaking Limit and Rule Break.

if we balance the FEATURED CONTENT, so it is not a clown 1 shot fiesta when you die 100 times per second, we dont have to modify official content.

Also, wtf about losing EDP when you die? Stop hating on fking SX

New classes are coming with the role of giving AP to party members achieving certain buffs wouldn't be a problem, this change would only discouraged the participance of those other jobs on the team play and heavily focus on DPS.

Not only that would allow for everyone to just go back to Dummies and rebuff theirselves with no consequences afterwards.

Honestly, that's just more boring and unecessary work for Lunar.

I will preface this with, I agree this sounds like unnecessary work for Lunar. This particular issue is annoying at worst.

I think this is an overemphasis on the impact of this change should it happen. Parties are still going to be class locked, people are still going to ask for AP. Building 150 AP doesn't happen as fast as the party moves, there's always going to be a need for AP giving classes if parties want to prioritize uptime on crucial skills.

There's already a heavy focus on DPS, that's never going to change. The party lock system was effort to combat that meta but the playerbase still does it. That's a community/meta issue that stems from turd design philosophy from RO. That's never going to be fixed unless we're willing to change RO at the core and that's probably never happening.

Hope AP itself doesn't get lost for all classes when they die in Purga/Fortessa gets implemented... Any dying gonna be livid.
