Fishy's Aimed Bolt guide

Recommended Posts

I do not recommend this build for beginners since Aimed Bolt (AB) is a single target skill that require -1 second of fixed cast time to spam.

But with higher damage potential, AB is perfect for destroying instance and world bosses.

(Since it's not a beginner's guide, I'm going to skip to higher end gears and not list budget options)

Reminder:

Every offensive skills can crit in Nif, which is why I put so much emphasis on getting crit chance.

Nif also has halfed after cast delay, so you don't need -72% acd but -44% for AB's 0.5s after cast delay.

Weapon:

PatentScarlet.png.08399d8c83e763bd8d24258d3a4b03eb.png

A good bow for AB, stands alone it's better than the Aiming Bow but can't beat the combo bonus. Can be enchanted for more damage.

AimingBow.png.f1c9cb15d2b9dcd78ca9dfb445025e2a.png

The best bow for AB but needs to combo with Celestial Jewel Crown. Enchant for this bow is quite expensive and not mandatory but more damage is always good.

Card: Contaminated Wanderer card (ID: 27361), White Knight card (ID: 4608), Resentful Archer Skeleton card (ID: 27086)

Headgear:

Spoiler

Bio5.png.66008d6d569f23f6ad1acb60083fcc8a.png

Better known as bio 5 hat, it's a good option if you have high level on the Expectation/Acute enchant. Can't beat the Celestial Jewel Crown combo though.

CelesCrown.png.72e49f207cfa161059d389da582ec3c4.png

Giving 200% AB damage when Aiming bow is +20 with just the combo bonus, this headgear is the best in slot for AB.

Card: Purple Ferus card (ID: 48214) for more damage, Dolomedes card (ID: 4506) for more DEX if you have trouble reaching instant cast.

Middle/Lower:

Spoiler

This is more of a recommendation since your build can function with any mid and lower headgear, the only thing that will vary is your damage.

I personally use these to increase my crit rate and there for my damage.

Armor:

Spoiler

Automatic.png.fda8033c19c0a867277e2dd71b4d8168.png

Not good without enchants. For enchants, I personally go with 1x delay after skill and 2x Aimed Storm for more AB damage and less after cast delay.

 StrSoutane.png.6fdc2d99623e4c1d1be1a348592ac9a8.png

Also something not great without enchants. However, this is just me giving you another option. Even when it has str blessing, I'd still go with Automatic Armor.

Card: Angry Nine Tail card (for more crit chance), any card that boost damage (Ex: Chaotic Baphomet, Gloom, etc.) since you're a ranger that will die even with defensive options.

The Rainbow Scarf, one of those jRO items that has an essay for their description. The most important part here is the reduce cooldown of Unlimit by 180 seconds, which allows us to have 100% Unlimit uptime (unless you die or get dispelled of course), which gives us a permanent big boost of damage.

tempAgi.png.7a3f1882c74f1a7c44f36f87e4fa8dbb.png

Temporal Agi Manteau is a good garment for general use. Can be enchanted with -after cast delay or more damage.

Has better burst damage than Rainbow Scarf with unlimit active, but doesn't enable 100% uptime unlimit. So your choice between higher short burst of damage or lower but more consistent damage.

Card: Ancient Wootan Shooter card (ID: 27296).

Boots:

Spoiler

There are 2 choices when it comes to boots that will also lead to different choices in gear later

tempDex.png.378b022db13768af6ff6936f1ba60b97.png

Temporal Dex Boots reduces fixed cast time by 0.5s (when you have 120 base Dex), which is half of the fixed cast time AB has, so now you only need to reduce it by another 0.5s with other gears for instant cast. Enchants are optional but like I said, more damage is always good. I go with expert archer and hawk eye.

AutomaticLeg.png.0b942e2605fa4fa1300206b4579be5dd.png

Automatic Leg A is the better version of Illusion Leg A (which is also useable in this build). Both require fixed cast time enchant to function in this build.

Card: Blut Hase card.

Accessories:

Spoiler

Blacksmith.png.a43e07579364d3754d0e79836591199c.png

Blacksmith's Gloves is pretty core in this build because it provides 50% def pierce on top of good bonuses already.

Insignia.png.1cde49ac5171e8d38fd27794a2d598c2.png

Instead of King Schmidt's Strong Insignia, you can also use the bow version (ID: 32233), whichever is fine. The enchants are necessary and the final enchant base on what enchant you have on your Temporal Dex boots (if you use temporal boots), Ex: Thousand bow enchant goes Hawk Eye enchant, Strong enchant goes with Bear Power (only go for these two).

BoosterRight.png.b72243da9499e6459c61cca83726cace.pngBoosterLeft.png.2db4a76bb3340127822160f1096e9f1f.png

Automatic Booster are the upgraded version of Illusion Booster, they provide a decent boost of damage, not great without enchants. Good enchants to go for: Expert Archer, Fatal, All Force, Drain Life, Dex.

verus.png.dc416f79c9b3219531baf20939f7ff1f.png

Verus' Core is for hitting things with insane FLEE, but I recommend using Sharp Shooting instead of patching the holes of AB.

fairyLeaf.png.a7cde8522c58894a9c4528b7ae208f8c.png

Fairy Leaf Powder, to me, is a noob trap. The accessory in its entirety, combo bonuses and all, is really good, but good luck getting the Expert Archer 1 and 2.

Card: Revolver Buffalo Bandit card (ID: 27171), Shotgun Buffalo Bandit card (ID: 27170), Gigantes card (ID: 27183).

Miscellaneous:

Spoiler

fixedCast.png.dac9020ccefbe23bc0010693db764673.png

Fixed Cast Stone is a requirement for the build (unless you decide to go with Automatic/Illusion Leg A). It covers up the leftover fixed cast time that AB has.

intBadge.png.c6757d1b5d851fe0b205713a66bf0ecb.png

Int Badge is easier to obtain option for fixed cast time reduction, but this is only if you use Automatic/Illusion Leg A (since the enchant on them gives at least -0.7s fct)

So essentially, the two pairs you should pick are: Int Badge + Automatic/Illusion Leg A    or    Fixed Cast stone + Temporal Dex Boots

rangerShadow.png.556ea7914348eabef6460d4982f18cbc.pngaimedWeap.png.c56d5f931a15891ec5052bf2fc63cb2a.png

Aimed Shadow Weapon + Ranger Shadow Shield combo is required for the leftover 50% def pierce.

aimedEar.png.21b88ca88e425c47e6a5bbf8bd7df6d6.pngaimedPen.png.2e40e27f4abbe3325b1bb692c695cad0.png

Aimed Shadow set combo for more AB damage.

for the rest shadow gears (Armor and Shoes), I personally use Reload for after cast delay reduction. You can use whatever though.

Reminder that all shadow gear can be enchanted.

Costume Enchants:

Stone:

If you use the Int Badge + Automatic/Illusion Leg A pair

Ranger stone II set

If you use the Fixed Cast stone + Temporal Dex Boots pair

Fixed Cast stone (Garment)

Sniper Stone II (middle)

low impact additions only at this point so I'm too lazy to list them.

Attack Stone (Lower) or Critical Stone (Lower)

Stat enchants:

HP for top

ATK against boss/ Critical Damage for middle

After cast delay for lower

Whatever element you want for your garment (general purpose ones are holy/shadow/ghost)
